Graphic Terms - Colour Depth
Graphic Terms - Colour "depth" is defined by the number of bits per pixel that can be displayed on a computer monitor.
Graphic Terms - Frame Buffer
Frame Buffer - Part of a video system where images are stored pixel by pixel.
Graphic Terms - Compression
Compression - The coding of data that saves storage space or transmission time.
Graphic Terms - File Extension
File Extension - Is a suffix at the end of a file name that indicates what type of file it is.
Graphic Terms - Resolution
Resolution - The maximum amount of pixels that can be shown on a computer screen.
Graphic Terms - DPI
DPI - Also means Dots Per Inch. Is a measure of resolution for printers, scanners and displays.

CPU - Is also formally known as Central Processing Unit. This contains the necessary information to interpret and execute program instructions.

FPS - Also means Frames Per Second. This is the unit of measurement of the frame rate of a moving image.

Pixel - A tiny dot of light that is the basic unit from which images on computer or television screens are made.
